Memorial Day to many is about a three-day weekend of enjoying family, friends, barbecues, swimming pools and the unofficial start of summer. But Memorial Day is also about remembering those heroes who paid the ultimate price for our freedom.

Memorial Day began as Decoration Day after the civil war nearly 150 years ago, reflecting on the hundreds of thousands of Union and Confederate Soldiers that gave their lives. Today, Memorial Day serves as our opportunity to remember the sacrifices of more than 1 million brave Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Marines, and Coast Guardsman who paid the ultimate price to ensure America’s freedom.

Let us also reflect on how their sacrifices have forever impacted their families, their loved ones, their friends, neighbors, and the extended community. These were our leaders, they were our children, our siblings, our parents, our spouses and our friends. And most important, they are our heroes. They were servants who served with pride and humility, and for love of country they gave their lives.

Our heroes may be gone…but are never forgotten.

WiGL is pleased to share that Cubic Mission & Performance Solutions (Cubic), was able to complete testing that analyzed generated current at a receiver using multiple Energous (COTS) transmitters networked together (WiGL-enabled). With the WiGL-enabled receivers a few feet away from the transmitter network, this testing has proved that having multiple WiGL-enabled transmitters increases the current harvested at the single receiver. This exciting development reinforces the research and development done by FIU.

With improvements we’ve shared before, these additional enhancements from Cubic and Energous move us towards the overarching goal of creating a single touchless wireless power mesh network… supporting WiGL-enabled products. Once these enhancements are fully fleshed-out, we will be able to start realizing the full capabilities of the mesh network and branch out to determine the next steps forward for productization and strategic partnering.

In response to this recent Cubic success, WiGL and Energous are adding additional evaluation kits (transmitters and receivers) to grow the network. We expect to demonstrate a much larger, interoperable touchless wireless power transfer (tWPT) network very soon.

WiGL is currently working with Energous (and others) to build COTS capabilities that fast-track transmitter (Tx)-to-Tx-to-Tx-to-Tx networking for touchless Wireless Power Transfer (tWPT). Meaning rather than a single Tx-to-receiver (Rx) pairing that gets you maybe 3-10 ft of distance, WiGL’s patented networking technologies are based on networking all available Tx’s in an attempt to gain near infinite distance on our tWPT networks. I.e…if you want more distance, simply add another WiGL-enabled Energous Tx.

In short, WiGL’s vision may one day allow you to use a WiGL-enabled Energous Tx to log onto a WiGL network…to remotely recharging or powering your IoT devices …in the very-near future.

When WiGL’s Reg CF raise ended in the Summer of 2021, there were a number of people who did not get their investments in and processed before we reached the max allowed.

Team WiGL Wins: 

Multi-Year Follow-on Department of Defense Contract!

We have been bursting at the seems to share this award. Thanks to your Reg CF investment(s), WiGL was able to compete and win this very important growth milestone.

Because of you, Team WiGL is now off and running to deliver touchless Wireless Power Transfer (tWPT) technology to the US Air Force (USAF).

Per the awarded contract…over the next couple years, Team WiGL is delivering:

• WiGL enabled software documentation and user manuals;
• tWPT networking engineering drawings;
• Long-term network operation and maintenance;
• Commercialization results (meaning WiGL enabled products that may go on shelves for civilians);
• Safety hazard analysis when the WiGL enabled network is in partial or total hardware development/delivery.

In addition, Team WiGL is contracted to deliver key WiGL and WiGL-enabled products/licenses. In partnership with Energous, Rickard Consulting Group, Cubic Mission & Performance Solutions, Guinn Partners, INERGY and others…Team WiGL will provide fully functioning networks, comprising:

1. Clean safe tWPT salt water and solar generators that are also wireless transmitter (Tx) enabled. This will also include Tx’s that plug into AC/DC outlets and other devices.
2. WiGL enabled receiver (Rx) units to plug into mission critical USAF end user devices. Examples of end user devices may include: Android devices, Apple devices and/or other handheld IoT devices.

In the coming days, Team WiGL will hold official kickoff meetings with stakeholders to finalize “individual products”, product-modifications, network specifications and fine-tune delivery dates for the fully functioning WiGL enabled network.
