Touchless Wireless Power is Here!

The state of the touchless Wireless Power Transfer (tWPT) industry while being exciting, can be quite hard to navigate. With so many players it can be difficult to keep track of the advancements for one company versus advancements for the end user.

Here’s a quick cheat sheet you can follow:

WiGL’s partner Powercast recently announced their latest breakthrough via a partnership with InPlay, which allows these tWPT pioneers to power “battery-free, maintenance free, IoT sensor systems that can be powered over long distance up to 120 feet.” This amazing 120-foot breakthrough shows the flexibility of the tWPT industry, and how things can evolve from battery-centric devices, to those working off Bluetooth technology. In the future it could be possible that a WiGL-enabled mesh network helps facilitate multiple of these amazing devices on one network. The cohesion and ease of access it could provide end-users and suppliers would be revolutionary.

Energous, another of WiGL’s compete-mates, recently announced their latest Federal Communication Commission (FCC) WattUp transmitter approval. The FCC has allowed 15 watts of conducted power transfer, thus opening the potential for additional IoT devices to be recharged. 15 Watt transmitters like these can be WiGL-enabled and mesh networked to allow multiple devices to work off one unifying and consumer-controlled network.

Another innovator to watch is Ossia. Ossia is known for their Cota technology which aims to deliver power without distance limitations nor line-of-sight. Recently Ossia announced that they have “successfully met the requirements to send and receive power wirelessly without any distance limitations in 21 additional countries, adding to the approvals that have already been granted in 49 countries.” This is a great development for the tWPT industry!

Ossia and the other tWPT leaders mentioned above are growing the size of the Total Available Market (TAM) as more and more people begin to accept the safety of tWPT technologies. Here to, WiGL’s mesh networking technology could one day (soon) provide the end user with seamless interoperability to move from tWPT WiGL-enabled transmitter to any other WiGL-enabled transmitter on the network…without dropping coverage…just like cellphones.

And these are just a few of the recent advancements in the tWPT industry.

Wireless power is here, and it’s becoming part of our new reality faster than people may believe. As these technologies develop, the advantage of being able to work off one network could be massive for the convenience of everyone, creation of new suppliers, DoD adaptation, and investors’ TAM expansion.

WiGL is moving as quickly as we can to bring tWPT tech to the DoD…and then commercialize with the help of these industry leaders.

WiFi gets your wireless internet.

WiGL gets you wireless power….just log on.

August StartEngine Update!

The Secret is Out!

WiGL is proud to share more details about our contracted work for the Department of Defense (DoD). So far, we’ve completed 2 tasks for DoD’s WiGL’s World Fair 2.0 (WWF 2.0). The 3rd task is our laboratory (lab) demo of WiGL-enabled products recharging multiple mobile devices on the WiGL network; read as recharging cellphones.

The WWF 2.0 Task 3 demo will be at the Guinn Partners lab in Austin, Tx on 10 August 2022.

Task 2 of WWF 2.0 is broken down into 2 parts:

Part 1 features commercial off the shelf (COTS) products:

– For this task, we will use transmitters/receivers from PowerCast

– We are using safe 800-950MHz waveform harvesting (and storage of power)

– And finally, we are sharing WiGL’s patented PowerBanks connected to the end user’s mobile devices

To us, the most impressive piece being demo’d in Part 1 of WWF 2.0 Task 3 is our touchless wirelessly rechargeable “intermediate electronic storage device” (that’s patent language for a wireless PowerBank).  To meet the immediate battlefield needs of DoD, our wirelessly recharged PowerBank uses a small lithium-ion battery rated at 3.7V, 2600 mAh. These are the kind of PowerBanks you can buy at Walmart or your nearest Airport. We will also demo some WiGL proprietary technologies that include a medium-size COTS lithium-ion rechargeable battery rated at 4000 mAh. With these WiGL enabled PowerBanks, we are able to rapidly recharge most Apple and Samsung mobile devices, making our WiGL network + WiGL PowerBank ideal for recharging end-user mobile devices.

Part 2 of WWF 2.0 Task 3 will demo the software controlled parts of the WiGL network. In short, well-known Bluetooth + WiGL proprietary software will be used to manage/control the planned network of over 20 connected transmitters. Special thanks to Rickard Consulting Group for the amazing WiGL software and Apps.

What: With these married technologies, the WiGL-enabled network controls the PowerCast transmitter “nodes”. The nodes that form the network will be provisioned to turn on/off automatically based on demo thresholds set for DoD devices. Additionally, the provisioning and automatic/manual nodes will be demo’d from both Apple and Samsung Apps during the WWF 2.0.

So what: WiGL’s touchless-wirelessly recharged PowerBank takes roughly the same amount of time as plugging into the wall to recharge the end user device. We are still working improvements to make recharging the PowerBank faster. The WiGL-enabled PowerBank connects to the USB port of the end-user’s device. We are excited to show that this touchless wireless power transfer (tWPT) network and setup meets (exceeds) 21st century DoD and commercial needs. And our WWF 2.0 demo will feature 3 different end user mobile devices on the WiGL network…at the same time… “electrical power reimagined”

Now what: there are 5 more tasks on this contract. And we are on contract watch for DoD’s next request. Plus, we have caught the attention of major telecommunications companies…so stay tuned!

As always, stay tuned for exciting news…look for HUGE news in August.

Happy 4th of July!

Happy 4th of July!

As we reflect on the 1st half of 2022…just as we thought we were done with the challenges of COVID, 2022 has emerged as a modern-day market crisis typhoon. 2022 has reared back and thrown nasty curveballs.…at market after market, every chance it gets. Starting with conflicts and wars abroad, this year has plagued investors at every level with product shortages and market prices that show no signs of decreasing any time soon. A sharp rise in gas prices, crash after crash of crypto markets, and steep drops in stocks has caused even the most exploratory of investors to begin to tighten their belts.

Thought to be one of the most optimistic and growing forms of investment, cryptocurrency took a steep nosedive recently.  There is growing concerns within some crypto investor communities whether the NFT market will remain as lucrative as believed. Combine these problems with a red-hot housing market that is constantly threatened with a crash, and people are more worried than ever with where they are putting their money. That’s why investing in the future and seeing past the ups and downs is the only way to truly feel comfortable with your financial decisions.  And keep some piece of mind.

Knowing that you have options, WiGL wants to thank those of you that have invested in WiGL.

Your support helps us continue to strive to what we want to be tomorrow. With over 750 investors already, and another $1 million dollars recently raised on StartEngine, we could not be more honored that you are taking the journey with us especially in these uncertain times. WiGL understands the state of the capital markets in these times, and just as you invest in us, we work to invest in you by securing new contracts, developing our product(s) and building the WiGL networks to the fullest capacities, while finding new firms to work with and broaden our horizons.
Every new investor and every new dollar allows WiGL to keep pushing forward in the pursuit of touchless wireless power transfer (tWPT). You are helping to create a planet less dependent on the harsh mining practices for battery components, and future more focused on accessible power.

As some of you who have invested might be aware, WiGL is currently working on Demo 4 of our technologies (WiGL’s World Fair 2.0). As our commitment to those who have shown belief in WiGL, we are excited to share that we can peel back the curtain somewhat and provide investors with a peek at what is currently going on with this stage in the development process.

If this is something you would want to be involved in, you can visit us at startengine.com/wigl to learn more. The point of this quick 4th of July note is to communicate to those who have supported us where WiGL is in the process of things, but also to demonstrate transparency and establish a back-and-forth. We don’t want an investment with WiGL to be just another deposit that is made, rather a journey you take with us as we work to solve the energy problems that plague our society today.

So again, Happy 4th of July…thank you all, and we cannot wait to share more with you in the future.

Happy Juneteenth!

Hello WiGL Family!

As we enter one of the greatest inflationary periods in nearly 50 years, compounded by shortages in everything from baby food to can goods…WiGL would like to take a moment and honor the things we still have. Top of the list of things Americans hold dearest is FREEDOM.

America spends billions each year promoting freedom around the globe. And in the coming days, our Nation will honor one of America’s most importance symbols and legacy of Freedom. Juneteenth or Freedom Day (June 19) is now a Federal Holiday…making June 19th officially a three-day weekend to enjoy family and friends. But Freedom Day is also about celebrating and remembering our shared freedoms as Americans.

Juneteenth commemorates the events of June 19, 1865, when Union General Gordon Granger arrived in Galveston, Texas, to inform enslaved African Americans that the Civil War had ended… and they were hereby freed. Freedom Day commemorates the emancipation of those enslaved African Americans and has been celebrated annually on June 16, 17, 18 and/or 19 for over 150 years.

Let us never forget the sacrifices made by Americans-for-Americans, demanding the end to America’s enslavement of its citizens. Let’s also reflect on the legacy of our ancestors and the systemic changes they made to reshape America into the beacon of hope for the world. Freedom Day is a celebration that signifies those changes, America’s promise of freedom, and symbolizes our shared aspiration that captures the American spirit.

Enjoy the long weekend celebrating friends, family and freedom. Reflect on the promise of freedom America promotes around the world today…and how it relates back to Juneteenth.

Your WiGL Team is honored you are part of our family. Thanks for your continued support!

In the Running for Another DoD Contract

On Friday May 13th, WiGL was formally notified by the Air Force (AF) that we have been nominated for an additional $20M per year procurement contract.

Details are still fuzzy, and there are no guarantees WiGL will win the nomination or follow-on procurement contract, but we are working hard to determine COTS partners. Team WiGL has started to build the work plan to get touchless Wireless Power Transfer (tWPT) WiGL enabled offerings to more and more AF bases.

What a GREAT 2022!

Guinn Partners Update:

WiGL is also happy to report that we have seen more breakthroughs with our partners working to utilize our mesh network and B2B commercial off the shelf (COTS) hardware!

Guinn Partners, is currently partnering with PowerCast to analyze their wireless power hardware on a WiGL-enabled network. Guinn and PowerCast are characterizing various configurations using PowerCast COTS evaluation kits. This networking process is only the beginning, as we work through Milestone testing employing nearly two-dozen PowerCast transmitters. These tests are different from other WiGL-enabled COTS demonstrations and will provide more finite data contributing to further advancements for Adhoc networking.

Milestone A test is ongoing, and we are hopeful that they will be concluded around mid-May/June 2022, leading to an exciting summer full of more updates!

The knowledge that we can absorb from these tests regarding Milestone A will form a critical foundation that WiGL’s ability to power devices on the move using COTS (WiGL-enabled). Together, Guinn, PowerCast and WiGL are working to securely build upon and expand realization of our patented mesh network technologies. Using PowerCast’s FCC approved hardware provide leaps in the right direction and will only lead to more expansive developments for the AF and commercial markets.

Thank you for your continued support, and we hope to provide you with more updates soon!
