What is a Wiggle?

We often get asked, “How exactly does WiGL wireless power work?”

Well, it works just like WiFi! The networked WiGL-enabled transmitters send a

directed signal to a known receiver. Then the network of transmitters routes the

signal to another known receiver and converts it into a direct current to harvest

the power.

Once the power has been received, it is stored to be used later or to power your

device right away.

WiGL Smart Campus: Campus of the Future

The “city of the future” is a concept that has recently gained quite a bit of steam, as governments look to build exciting and new infrastructure based off forward-thinking and sustainable practices. While WiGL of course wants to be involved in these innovations, an idea of these projects that is sometimes overlooked is the campus of the future.

A college campus is the perfect microcosm of a city, with the largest even representing a city themselves and having their own public transportation methods. If done correctly, a campus could be the perfect next step for WiGL. College libraries and common buildings are filled with students desperate for outlets as they cram for finals, complete papers, or simply want to stay plugged-in as they study and listen to music.

The campus shops or Starbucks (a favorite of many) are always inundated with customers furiously tapping away on laptops. All these locations could be retrofitted with WiGL-enabled transceivers to help ease the access to power for students.

Just as WiFi signals are offered on campus, the WiGL network could be accessible at any student’s favorite study or meeting spot.

WiGL’s Software Makes its Commercial Debut

One of the keys to subscribing to a touchless Wireless Power Transfer (tWPT) network is software and Mobile Apps to control and manage the network. WiGL is honored to report the completion of the 1st generation of tWPT software and Mobile App. WiGL accomplishes this through a software application developed by the Rickard Consulting Group, Inc. (RCG).

RCG is a veteran-owned, small business with nearly two decades of experience providing critically needed, warfighter-focused services in a wide spectrum of government and commercial endeavors. RCG is uniquely qualified and structured to meet WiGL’s DoD needs. RCG has a large number of recently retired DoD warfighters spanning the spectrum of DoD disciplines. RCG, through its subject matter experts (SME), objectively define the “why” prior to any pursuit of the “what” by deftly combining the skills of software engineers to warfighter needs.

Building upon initial commercial offerings developing domain analytics and advanced visualizations for next generation DoD training applications. RCG’s construct of leveraging organic SMEs, and software development expertise offers a proven path to shifting the DoD paradigm.

The Meat of Subscribing and Streaming Wireless Power:

The WiGL Mobile App is user friendly with an intuitive user interface and supported on all major B2B platforms we are targeting; iOS, Android (Samsung/Pixel/etc), Web, Desktop, and Cloud/Internet enabled. The WiGL Mobile App synchs with the WiGL software control package and allows provisioning of the power device into nodes. Node(s) status is independent of the presence of receivers and starts directly after power application.

User commands consist of setting a mode to manual or automatic. In the manual mode, power nodes can be manually set to transmission. Meaning On or Off. In the automatic mode, the node power states are driven by receiver proximity, meaning… received signal strength indicator (RSSI) and unique RF ID. Once a power node is provisioned, the application displays node ID, location, mode, RSSI threshold, and power state.

One of the many exciting parts about WiGL’s software is the ability to integrate with our B2B partners and support the end user’s ability to subscribe and stream touchless wireless power. As with many popular Mobile Apps, WiGL will offer B2B partners the ease of access that comes with a 99% completed subscription package (last 1% is B2B integration and branding). As we’ve shared, subscriptions/streaming is a level of service tied to WiGL’s business model.

Subscribing to a WiGL-enabled network means quick access to the available node. Say goodbye to finding an outlet. Everything about WiGL software’s subscription options are tailored to the customer for faster more convenient and reliable service. Making WiGL an easy, and less risky partner for B2B customers interoperability.

WiGL’s Power Forward Devices

GREAT call with our Saltwater Generator (SWG) manufacturer today. (OBTW: they also make the highly popular Gel Blaster).

If we keep this up, WiGL is only a couple steps away from shelves. Super Excited!

Our SWG is not only born out of convenience for leisure outdoor activities, but also for the vital situations when the power goes out. As climates and weather around the world becomes increasingly unpredictable and storms become more devastating it’s clear that a single power grids can no longer be the only solution. Our SWG or WiGL eNERGY devices could be vital in times of crisis.

We have begun transitioning WiGL eNERGY from primarily a DoD device for Power Forward…to a commercially available disaster preparedness devices.  WiGL eNERGY can be used for hurricanes, tornados, flooding and/or other disasters…that turn the lights out. A portable WiGL eNERGY device will be critically important when gas or diesel generators aren’t able to get gas fuels.

Our SWG runs on water…a readily available resource.

Look for more SWG updates from WiGL and our partners in the coming days.

Power in the Infrastructure

With the United States is being forced to address aging infrastructure. Aging, failing infrastructure that can no longer keep up with the modern demand. And with the need to repair and replace… there is no better time than the present to innovate.

EVs are becoming more dominant as people look to avoid fossil fuel. So, it stands to reason an increased focus on charging of these vehicles would be in the best interest of governments everywhere.

In the (near) future, WiGL’s mesh technologies could be included in things such as roads, traffic light posts, bus terminals, and several other infrastructure renovations.

WiGL also sees the Army of EVs planned to hit our streets (soon) as potential transmitters. Efficient wireless power could flow to commuters at the ready and limit the need for timely wired charging stops. Whether the charging comes from the nearest EV or wirelessly to the nearest EV.

Stay tuned for Demo #5…

Wireless Charging Is the Holy Grail of Electric Vehicle World

Ahmad Glover, the enthusiastic president of WiGL, a small wireless electric transmission company, told me the military is extremely interested in wireless charging. Glover, an Air Force veteran, said the goal is to have forward bases equipped, during operations and in warfighting situations, so that troops can charge their electronics without plugging in. “The less a soldier has to carry the better,” he said.

WiGL is Going Glamping!

WiGL learned a lot during our latest demonstration for DoD. Enhancements we are making to SaltWater Generator (SWG) may revolutionize portable energy. But the SWG is proving to be bigger than just a power on demand system for DoD.

Being able to generation immediate, clean electrical power could be revolutionary for the consumer that love to spend their weekends exploring the outdoors. As the Internet of Things continues to grow and progress outside the bounds of City living…WiGL eNERGY needs expand our Total Serviceable Market (TAM), Service Available Market (SAM) and Serviceable Obtainable Market (SOM) to include camper and glamping.

Using improvements designed for the military, the WiGL SWG offers the modern camper renewable, clean, sustainable power on the go.

Portable power without the hassle of having to carry burdensome or dangerous batteries. Wireless power derived just from a mixture of salt and water, able to feed necessities such as GPS locators, cellphones, electric lamps, laptops, small TVs…. whatever small devices might need power.

Touchless Wireless Power is Here!

The state of the touchless Wireless Power Transfer (tWPT) industry while being exciting, can be quite hard to navigate. With so many players it can be difficult to keep track of the advancements for one company versus advancements for the end user.

Here’s a quick cheat sheet you can follow:

WiGL’s partner Powercast recently announced their latest breakthrough via a partnership with InPlay, which allows these tWPT pioneers to power “battery-free, maintenance free, IoT sensor systems that can be powered over long distance up to 120 feet.” This amazing 120-foot breakthrough shows the flexibility of the tWPT industry, and how things can evolve from battery-centric devices, to those working off Bluetooth technology. In the future it could be possible that a WiGL-enabled mesh network helps facilitate multiple of these amazing devices on one network. The cohesion and ease of access it could provide end-users and suppliers would be revolutionary.

Energous, another of WiGL’s compete-mates, recently announced their latest Federal Communication Commission (FCC) WattUp transmitter approval. The FCC has allowed 15 watts of conducted power transfer, thus opening the potential for additional IoT devices to be recharged. 15 Watt transmitters like these can be WiGL-enabled and mesh networked to allow multiple devices to work off one unifying and consumer-controlled network.

Another innovator to watch is Ossia. Ossia is known for their Cota technology which aims to deliver power without distance limitations nor line-of-sight. Recently Ossia announced that they have “successfully met the requirements to send and receive power wirelessly without any distance limitations in 21 additional countries, adding to the approvals that have already been granted in 49 countries.” This is a great development for the tWPT industry!

Ossia and the other tWPT leaders mentioned above are growing the size of the Total Available Market (TAM) as more and more people begin to accept the safety of tWPT technologies. Here to, WiGL’s mesh networking technology could one day (soon) provide the end user with seamless interoperability to move from tWPT WiGL-enabled transmitter to any other WiGL-enabled transmitter on the network…without dropping coverage…just like cellphones.

And these are just a few of the recent advancements in the tWPT industry.

Wireless power is here, and it’s becoming part of our new reality faster than people may believe. As these technologies develop, the advantage of being able to work off one network could be massive for the convenience of everyone, creation of new suppliers, DoD adaptation, and investors’ TAM expansion.

WiGL is moving as quickly as we can to bring tWPT tech to the DoD…and then commercialize with the help of these industry leaders.

WiFi gets your wireless internet.

WiGL gets you wireless power….just log on.

As always, stay tuned for exciting news…look for HUGE news in August.
